Monday Strategies for a Kick Ass Week

Where do stand with the Monday blues? Ever present? Sometimes? Not a thing?

If you are anything like me, you probably waiver between “I’ve got this” and “F, no, how it is Monday already and I feel like I didn’t do a single thing for myself this weekend?” Read on for a few tips on turning the week from reactive to proactive.

What is the secret to waking up Monday morning excited and ready to take on the week? It starts with you getting really clear about what matters most and what you need to do to honor your energy and set boundaries.

Although work life balance sometimes feels less achievable than climbing Mount Everest, there are ways to sway the pendulum so that you feel more fulfilled and engaged. The secret is to assess what is in front of you and harness the power to make changes where you need it most.

The Sunday Strategy: DELEGATE, PLAN, ENGAGE, REWARD

  1. DELEGATE: choose one task to outsource (put down your phone right now and assign someone a task/project/chore that does not fill your bucket)

  2. PLAN: choose one thing this week that has been on your mind or to-do list and decide where and when that you will do it. Get it off your plate and release the mental load and decision fatigue.

  3. ENGAGE: make one date this week with someone that makes you feel like the BEST VERSION OF YOURSELF. Zoom, hike, coffee, pilates. Whatever fills your cup!

  4. REWARD: choose one reward that will light you up. Need more time? More stillness? Rewards can look like anything from a healthy food delivery, a long bath, new shoes, an astrology reading (highly recommend Tara Jade Nichols if you are looking for a rec!) or maybe it’s booking a date night, hiring some admin help or just setting time to be alone.

Planning works. Awareness works. It’s time to get realistic about your current reality versus your desired reality. Sometimes it is hard to do alone. Need guidance?
